Lymph In Motion Therapeutic Massage Colleen Hurst RMT CLT CST Inc.

Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic Massage is a mobilisation of the soft tissues in order to induce relaxation. Therapeutic massage uses a combination of specific massage techniques to produce a therapeutic effect. Therapeutic massage can be used to reduce stress, decrease pain and increase feelings of calmness and well-being.

Relaxation Massage

Relaxation massage is the use of therapeutic approach that focuses on smooth, flowing strokes aimed at fostering relaxation and diminishing stress. Relaxation massage serves to calm the nervous system, improve blood circulation, and release muscle tension.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage targets chronic tension in muscles that lie far below the body's surface. Deep muscle techniques involve slow strokes, direct pressure or friction movements that go across the muscle grain.

Prenatal Massage

Prenatal massage is a massage that is similar to a Swedish massage with modifications to accommodate body positioning that is best for both the mother and baby.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage

Lymphatic drainage massage, also known as manual lymphatic drainage, relieves swelling that happens when medical treatment or illness blocks your lymphatic system. Lymphatic drainage massage involves gently manipulating specific areas of your body to help lymph move to an area with working lymph vessels.

Complete Decongestive Therapy

This is a noninvasive treatment for lymphedema and lipedema. The therapy includes a variety of techniques, including advanced manual lymphatic drainage, compression, exercise and skin care.

Craniosacral/Massage/Lymph Combination

Craniosacral therapy is a light touch, manual therapy that releases tensions, as well as restrictions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and aims to improve overall health. This treatment choice is a combination that the client and therapist tailor together to achieve the clients desired goals.

Oncology Massage
